The majority of our staff - even office personnel - have construction-related backgrounds, and our general management team has more than 100 years of combined industry experience. We boast a field force of more than 50 tradesmen, led by an experienced field management team.

Robert Doessel
President
Bob is the founder of Team Fire Protection and has almost three decades’ experience with mechanical installations. Bob led recruitment of the industry’s best tradesmen, as well as office support staff with construction-related experience, to build one of the strongest teams in the business today. Previously, Bob was employed by Economy Mechanical Industries, Inc., a large regional mechanical contracting company, for 18 years, including 10 years as superintendent of the Special Projects Division.

Gordon Nelson
Operations Manager
Bringing more than three decades of expertise and experience in the fire protection industry to Team Fire, Gordon Nelson now serves as the department manager. He began his career as a sprinkler fitter. He leads a team that has an unsurpassed depth of knowledge of field installation and design.

Carl Stocking
General Superintendent
Carl Stocking represents the fourth generation of his family with membership in Local 281 Sprinkler Fitters of Chicago. His own commitment to the field has developed and grown through the course of twenty years as a union sprinkler fitter.

Tom Lutz
Project Manager
Tom Lutz couples experience in construction with specialization in fire protection. During his two decade-career, he focused the first half on construction and then transitioned to a fire protection emphasis. His perspective brings unique strength to his project management role at Team.

Jim Carlson
General Foreman
Jim Carlson has 10 years experience in local 281 and 5 years as General Forman. He has been part of our service division since day one and has installed a great variety of diferent types of fire protection systems as well as worked on different types of jobs such as high rises, hotel remodels, schools, government projects and residential housing. Jim provides leadership in the field and is one of the main reasons Team Fire is quickly becoming a leader in the fire protection industry.
