The majority of our staff - even office personnel - have construction-related backgrounds, and our general management team has more than 100 years of combined industry experience. We boast a field force of more than 50 tradesmen, led by an experienced field management team.

Robert Doessel
President
Bob is the co-founder of Team Mechanical, Inc. and has almost three decades’ experience with mechanical installations. Bob led recruitment of the industry’s best tradesmen, as well as office support staff with construction-related experience, to build one of the strongest teams in the business today. Previously, Bob was employed by Economy Mechanical Industries, Inc., a large regional mechanical contracting company, for 18 years, including 10 years as superintendent of the Special Projects Division.

Joseph Tierno
Vice President - Industrial Sales
A force in the start-up of TMI’s industrial and manufacturing divisions, which are recognized for industry leadership, Joe has more than a quarter century’s experience with mechanical installations. He was formerly employed by Economy Mechanical Industries for 16 years, including 6 as general foreman. He has spent the last 11 years as part of Team, selling and installing process and industrial systems.

John Doessel
Vice President - Field Operations Manager
Since the founding of TMI, John supervised many of the firm’s high- profile projects, including a new central cooling plant at Children’s Memorial Hospital. John has been managing the construction pipe fitters since 2000 and also is a special project sales engineer for TMI. John served his apprenticeship and worked as a foreman for Douglas Mechanical from 1984 to 1990, and was also employed as a general foreman for Economy Mechanical, Ind. from 1990 to 1995.

Wayne has over 27 years experience in the consulting engineering field. His responsibilities include system design, project management and technical support. Wayne was formerly a self-employed mechanical consultant for 13 years. .

Bill Horton
General Manager of Mechanical Services
Bill has a 25-year background in the HVAC and service industry, he has been a member of Chicago Pipe Fitters LU #597 since 1981. Bill proudly served in the US Navy on the aircraft carrier John F. Kennedy before becoming a pipe fitter.

Daniel Fitzgerald joined Team in March of 2006. He has a 25-year background in the HVAC and piping industry, and has earned distinction as one of the top project managers and sales engineers in the area.

Mike Baron
Leeds AP®, General Manager Ventilation Division
Mike has a 15-year background in the HVAC industry, and has an extensive history in all types of ventilation projects, from commercial multi-story buildings, to retail centers, industrial / process projects, multi-story residential buildings and healthcare facilities. Mike has extensive experience in sales, estimating, systems design, and project management.

Mike Cornick

Mike has spent his entire career in the HVAC industry, with more than 25 years in the field and in the front office. Mike is a card-carrying local #265 member, and has worked on numerous high-profile projects. His experience ranges from systems design and estimating, to project management and job layout. Mike possesses expertise in working closely with job site superintendents to meet tight construction schedules and budgets.

For more than two dozen years, Bob has been extensively involved with both estimating and project management, with an emphasis on work for large-scale projects. He brought his expertise to Team in 1997.

Rich Vieau
P.E. Mechanical Engineer
Rich Vieau is an eminently schooled Registered Professional Engineer having a four year BSME degree. In addition to continuing education courses and seminars, Rich has completed Master of Science courses in mathematics, fluid dynamics and steam turbine design from IIT and Northwestern University. Rich has over 32 years experience in the HVAC industry including the operation of his own consulting engineering firm with strengths in systems design, sales, purchasing, estimating and project management. The valued assistance he brings to our sales force and customer base through his extensive knowledge in the fields of refrigeration, wet heat, air systems, and value engineering provides Team Mechanical with unique element in our arsenal of professionals that assist our customers in finding solutions to their most difficult HVAC problems.

Alex D’Orsi
Sales Engineer, Ventilation Division
Alex has worked in the HVAC industry since 2001, beginning his career designing and drafting HVAC systems in an engineering department, then selling maintenance and repair contracts as a service sales engineer for HVAC equipment. For the past four years, Alex has been designing, estimating, selling, project managing, and drafting HVAC projects such as retail centers, office and warehouse big box buildings, tenant improvements, and medical office building.

Kipp Sobieski
Sales Engineer / Project Manager
Kipp has worked in the HVAC industry since 2003. He is a third generation family member who started out in the field on large ventilation projects. Last year, he made the transition into the office selling maintenance and repair contracts as a service sales engineer for HVAC equipment.

Steve Thompson
Sales Manager - Service Division
Steve entered the HVACR industry in 1970, graduated from the University of Southern Colorado in 1974 with a B.S. in management, along with an A.A.S. in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technology, to include Drafting. His involvement within the HVACR industry includes ownership management, services, sales, and installation. From 1963 to 1967 Steve was in the U.S. Navy, stationed at Camp Pendleton California.

Dave Diete
Service Manager
Dave is the focal point for quality within TMI's Service organization. With more than 25 years of experience as a 597 pipe fitter in the industry, Dave understands the importance of a timely response and a fix it right the first time approach. He works daily with his technicians and customers to develop a culture which generates customer satisfaction.

Henry Vinke
Senior Service Technician
If there's anyone who can fix it, Henry can. One of Chicago's most in-demand technicians, Henry has worked for more than 30 years as a pipefitter foreman and service fitter.

Ed Grabowski
General Foreman
Ed is currently managing TMI's work at Northern Illinois University's Fine Arts Center, a $42 million project. No stranger to large tasks, Ed served as foreman on the State Farm headquarters in Bloomington, Ill., before joining TMI.
